Tea House Office Space · Ghent · 2025

Project 3

2025

Client: A creative team inspired by Asian tea traditions.

Thee Atelier invites guests to discover a variety of teas in the very heart of Belgium’s cultural capital — Ghent

Project description

The design concept for Thee Atelier was developed as a contemporary tea house inspired by Asian traditions.
The two-floor space in the heart of Ghent combines a tasting area, a work zone, and a coffee lounge.
Special attention was given to ergonomics, acoustics, and the balance between natural and technical elements.
The project features custom-made furniture, unique art pieces, and refined materials such as wood, quartz composite, ceramics, epoxy, and bouclé.
Lighting design was developed in collaboration with the Belgian brand PVD Concept to emphasize a calm and sophisticated Wabi-Sabi atmosphere.

My role

I developed the full concept, including furniture layout, material selection, custom furniture design, and the lighting plan. During the process, I researched acoustic solutions at the Kortrijk Expo and drew inspiration from the Batibouw International Fair.
